When I show up, I get a feel for the place. I walk through. Who's there, who's helping, how it's all coming together. At a lot of these weddings, the family is the one putting the day on. The decorations, the food, the setup. Once it starts, I'm watching for the moments you can't get any other way. Dad crying. The groom seeing the bride for the first time. The toddler ring bearer wandering off. Mom catching her breath. The first dance turning into something that's actually fun. Those are the photos.
It starts with a conversation. We'll talk through what you're planning, your timeline, when it's happening, where it's happening, and what would make the day feel like the two of you. Once we're on the calendar, I'll walk you through everything before the wedding so the day itself is easy.
I'm walking around the whole day looking for the special moments. The first kiss. The rings. The best friend's toast. Cutting the cake. The first dance. The details you'll want to come back to. In between all of that, the people you chose to be there with you are enjoying themselves. That's most of what I'm photographing.
The gallery is just the start. There's the photo that goes on the wall, the one you'll see every day. There's the album, the one you pull out at anniversaries and on hard days, the one your kids will look through. Some of the people in your wedding photos might not make it to all the milestones after this. The album is what holds them. Along with the gallery, I make it easy to order prints, albums, and wall art directly through the store. I always recommend the album.
